Magic Bavaria Erlebnismuseum

As of early 2026, Magic Bavaria is located in the MONA shopping center. It is open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 11:00 to 19:00, and on weekends from 10:00 to 19:00. Note that the museum is closed on Tuesdays, except during Bavarian school holidays. Adult tickets generally cost 22 Euros on weekdays and 25 Euros on weekends. Reduced tickets for students and seniors are available from 17 Euros, while children aged 6 to 17 can enter for 15 to 17 Euros. Families can save with a group ticket priced around 64 Euros. If you have a Munich City Pass, entry is free, while the Munich Card offers a 10 percent discount. Last admission is always one hour before closing time.

To get the most out of your visit, make sure your phone or camera is fully charged, as you will be taking hundreds of photos. The museum provides free lockers to store your bags and coats, which is highly recommended so you can move freely through the interactive sets. While many stations have built-in cameras to help you capture the perfect shot, visiting with at least one other person makes posing much easier. The staff are very friendly and often happy to give tips on the best angles for the illusions. The facility is air-conditioned and wheelchair accessible, although a few specific installations may have limited access. There is also a small on-site cafe where you can grab a magic shake after your session.

Reaching Magic Bavaria is easy and stress-free using Munich’s public transport. It is located at Pelkovenstrasse 145 in the Moosach district. The most direct route is to take the U1 or U3 subway lines to the Olympia-Einkaufszentrum station. From the station, there is a direct underground entrance leading straight into the first basement of the MONA shopping center where the museum is situated. If you are coming from the Main Train Station, the U1 line will get you there in about 10 minutes. For those driving, the MONA center has its own parking garage, and there is additional parking available at the neighboring OEZ mall. Bus lines 143 and 175 also stop frequently right outside the complex.
