Tomb of King Munmu

King Munmu was the 30th ruler of the Silla Kingdom, reigning from 661 to 681, and is best remembered for unifying the Three Kingdoms of Korea. The tomb lies off Bonggil Beach in Gyeongju, North Gyeongsang Province, and is easily visible from the shore. It is free to visit and open year-round. A taxi is a convenient option for a direct trip, taking about 15 to 20 minutes. Those driving can park near Bonggil Beach and walk to the viewpoint. Public transportation is reliable, but schedules should be checked in advance, especially on weekends or holidays. The coastal walk from the parking area offers scenic views of the tomb and surrounding sea.
