Rebel City Distillery

Rebel City Distillery is located at Unit P6, Marina Commercial Park, Centre Park Road, Cork, T12 XHP7. Tours are available on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, typically at 12:00, 14:00, and 16:00, with occasional evening slots at 18:00. Each tour lasts approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes and begins with a welcome gin and tonic, followed by a guided exploration of the distillery, an overview of the unique botanicals used, and a tasting of their signature spirits, including gin and absinthe. In addition to standard tours, guests can enjoy experiences such as the “Tipsy Tea” (an afternoon tea paired with gin), cocktail masterclasses, and bespoke events for private or corporate groups. Tickets cost around €25 (as of 2022) and advance booking is recommended, as walk-ins are subject to availability. Housed in a restored 1920s building, the distillery retains its industrial character—visitors are advised to dress warmly, especially in winter. On-site parking is available for added convenience.

The distillery is housed in a restored industrial building, which can be quite cold, particularly in winter, so dressing in warm layers is recommended. Visitors should also be aware of the access arrangements: while there are three entrances to Marina Commercial Park, only one remains open at all times—the gate via the Marina Park walkway, monitored by security. Tours are kept intentionally small, with a maximum of around 23 participants, to ensure a personal and engaging experience. As the tour includes spirit tastings, guests are encouraged to plan transport accordingly if driving. Note that Rebel City Distillery focuses on gin, absinthe, and craft spirits—it does not produce whiskey—so visitors should arrive with that expectation in mind.

Rebel City Distillery is conveniently located approximately 15 minutes on foot from Cork city centre, with a walking distance of around 1 to 1.5 kilometres toward the Marina area. For those who prefer not to walk, a short taxi ride or local bus can also provide easy access to the Marina Commercial Park. The distillery is situated next to the popular Marina Market and directly opposite the National Kart Centre, making it a central and accessible destination. Free on-site parking is available for visitors arriving by car. However, it’s important to note that two of the park’s entry gates close during evenings and on weekends, so access may require using the always-open gate via the Marina Park walkway, which is staffed by security.
