Spanning over 90,000 acres, it’s home to the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino) and the last two remaining northern white rhinos on the planet. The conservancy also hosts a Chimpanzee Sanctuary, the only one of its kind in Kenya, making it a haven for both endangered species and wildlife enthusiasts.

Guided tours enhance the experience, providing insights into the conservancy’s conservation efforts. Booking accommodations and activities in advance is recommended, especially during peak seasons.
Ol Pejeta is about 200 kilometers north of Nairobi, a 3.5 to 4-hour drive via the Nairobi-Nanyuki Highway. It is also accessible by a 45-minute flight to the Nanyuki airstrip, followed by a short drive to the conservancy. Private transport or guided tour packages are the most convenient options.
The best time to visit Ol Pejeta is during the dry seasons, from June to October and January to February, when wildlife is easier to spot around waterholes. However, the conservancy is open year-round and offers unique experiences in all seasons, such as lush landscapes during the rains.
