You must bring your original passport to get past the Zimbabwean immigration gate, even if you do not plan to cross into Zambia. Without it, you will not be allowed into the no-man's-land where the bridge is located. Wear comfortable shoes and a hat, as the bridge can get quite hot under the midday sun. If you are planning to do the bungee jump or bridge swing, be aware that there are strict weight limits, typically between 40kg and 120kg.
