Located at the edge of Marmaris Old Town, the marina is one of Turkey’s most modern and well-equipped. It hosts hundreds of yachts and gulets, many offering daily boat trips or private charters. Along the promenade, visitors will find boutique shops, stylish cafés, bars, and seafood restaurants serving freshly caught dishes. The marina also connects directly to Marmaris Castle and the historic district, making it easy to combine sightseeing with relaxation by the water. Entry is free and open to the public.
Wear comfortable shoes for strolling, as the marina stretches for several kilometres. Bring your camera sunset views over the masts are especially photogenic. The area is safe and family-friendly, with plenty of benches and shaded spots. Prices at restaurants can be slightly higher than in town, but the views and atmosphere are worth it. Many boat operators offer sunset cruises directly from the marina for those looking to experience Marmaris from the sea.
The marina is easily accessible from anywhere in Marmaris. From the main square or beachfront, it’s about a 10-minute walk along the promenade. Local minibuses (dolmuş) also stop nearby, and taxis are readily available throughout town. If you’re driving, there’s paid parking close to the entrance. For those staying near Icmeler or Armutalan, the marina can be reached within 15–20 minutes by local transport or a pleasant seaside walk.
The marina is open all year, but the best time to visit is in the late afternoon or evening. During the day, it’s quieter ideal for coffee or a peaceful stroll. As the sun sets, the lights come on and restaurants fill with music and conversation. Summer months from May to October are the liveliest, while spring and autumn offer a calmer, more relaxed atmosphere. Sunset hours are particularly beautiful for photos and dining outdoors.
