Usakizade Mansion

The Uşakizade Mansion is a well-preserved example of late Ottoman architecture blended with European influences. Managed by Ege University, it functions as a museum and cultural site. Inside, you’ll find original furniture, photographs, and documents that give insight into the lifestyle of one of İzmir’s most influential families. Entry is free, and guided tours are sometimes available. The mansion is surrounded by lush gardens that add to its serene atmosphere. It’s open most days of the week during standard museum hours.

Uşakizade Mansion is located in Bornova, about 15 minutes from central İzmir by car. You can reach it by taking the metro to Bornova Station and then a short taxi ride or 15-minute walk to Ege University’s campus area. Several buses from Konak, Alsancak, and Karşıyaka also pass through Bornova. If you’re driving, limited parking is available near the entrance. The mansion’s location makes it easily accessible for both local and international visitors.
