Starting early from Bratislava, we’ll drive through picturesque regions like Nitra and the Low Tatras National Park before reaching Strbske pleso in the High Tatras. This glacial lake, the second-largest of its kind in Slovakia, is surrounded by breathtaking views, and we'll take an hour-long walk around the area.
Afterward, you can choose how to spend the next three hours of the day. The first option is a hiking tour from Strbske pleso to the Symbolic Cemetery at Popradské pleso. This memorial honors those who lost their lives in the High Tatras and worldwide mountain expeditions. Established in 1940, it features over 160 plaques and 50 hand-carved wooden crosses, making it a deeply moving and historical site.
