The London Dungeon

To visit in 2026, you must pre-book a timed entry slot online, as walk-up tickets are significantly more expensive and often unavailable. Standard adult tickets start at approximately £27 when booked in advance, while children aged 5 to 15 enter for around £22. The experience lasts about 90 minutes and includes two underground rides: the Tyrant Boat Ride and the Drop Dead vertical drop. The venue is entirely cashless, so ensure you have a card for any purchases at the gift shop or the Tavern at the end of the tour. While there is no strict dress code, you will be on your feet and moving through dark, uneven spaces for the duration, so wearing comfortable, closed-toe shoes is highly recommended for all visitors.

This attraction is designed to be scary and includes jump scares, strobe lighting, and loud noises. It is generally recommended for children aged 12 and over, and children under 5 are strictly not permitted. Under-16s must be accompanied by an adult. Photography and filming are prohibited inside the shows to maintain the atmosphere, but you can purchase professional photos at the end. Security is strict; you may bring a small backpack (up to 30 liters), but large suitcases and bulky luggage are not allowed and there is no on-site cloakroom. If you need to store large bags, use the facilities at nearby Waterloo Station. Also, be aware that the two rides have height restrictions and are not suitable for pregnant women or those with certain medical conditions.

The London Dungeon is located at County Hall, right next to the London Eye. The most convenient way to arrive is via the Underground to Waterloo Station, which is served by the Jubilee, Northern, and Bakerloo lines. From the station, follow the signs for the South Bank, and you will find the entrance just a five-minute walk away. Westminster station is also a great option across the bridge, offering beautiful views of Big Ben as you walk toward the site. If you prefer the bus, routes 211, 77, and 381 stop very close to the attraction. For a more scenic journey, you can take a Thames River boat to Westminster Pier or London Eye Waterloo Pier, both of which are just a short stroll from the Dungeon’s front doors.
