Streamvale Farm

The farm is located on Ballyhanwood Road and typically operates a seasonal schedule, opening from mid-March through to the end of October, with special events in December. Standard opening hours are usually 10:30 am to 5:00 pm daily. Admission prices for the 2026 season are approximately ten pounds for adults and nine pounds for children, with toddlers under three often entering for a smaller fee or free. The site is well-equipped with a dedicated cafe serving fresh, farm-made ice cream, a gift shop, and plenty of picnic areas. For a more immersive stay, the farm also offers luxury glamping pods with private hot tubs that overlook the scenic countryside.

Streamvale is a very active place, so dressing for the weather is essential. Stout shoes or wellies are highly recommended as some paths can be muddy, and you will likely be getting close to the animals. Most activities like the tractor rides and barrel rides are included in your entry price, but you should check the daily schedule upon arrival for specific feeding times and sheepdog demonstrations. If you are visiting with young children, the Cuddle Corner is a highlight where they can hold chicks and rabbits under staff supervision. The farm is generally pushchair-friendly, though some of the nature trails have uneven ground that might be more challenging for smaller wheels.

Located about six miles from Belfast city center, the farm is most easily reached by car or taxi, taking roughly fifteen to twenty minutes. If you are using public transport, take the G1 Glider or Metro bus 4C to the Dundonald Ice Bowl stop. From there, it is a very short taxi ride to the farm gates. Walking from the bus stop is not recommended as the Ballyhanwood Road is narrow, winding, and lacks a continuous footpath. For those driving, there is extensive free parking available on-site. A taxi from the city center will typically cost between fifteen and twenty pounds, making it a convenient option for small groups or families.
