Basilica of St. Michael the Archangel

Located in the Kazimierz district, the basilica is open daily, with free entry to the main church area. The crypt and certain exhibitions may require a small fee. As an active place of worship, visitors should dress respectfully and keep noise to a minimum. If you want to visit the crypt, check current opening hours as they may vary seasonally. From Krakow’s Main Square, walk about 15–20 minutes south toward Kazimierz. You can also take tram lines to the “Wawel” or “Stradom” stops, both just a short walk away. Taxis, ride-share services, and bike rentals offer quick access from anywhere in the city.
