Tekilacılar Sokağı, also known locally as Banka Sokak, is centrally located in Bodrum’s historic district. The street hosts a cluster of bars and nightlife venues, offering a variety of drinks, from reasonably priced shots to cocktails and local mixes. Several business owners have introduced a “single-price” system to make bar hopping more budget-friendly. Bars range from laid-back hangouts to energetic party spots, making it easy for visitors to find the type of atmosphere they enjoy.
The street is compact and can get crowded during peak season, so pace yourself and plan which bars to visit. The single-price system helps avoid surprises with drink costs, but it’s still wise to check menus before ordering. Some bars feature live music or DJs late into the night, so if you prefer a quieter vibe, consider arriving earlier. Keep an eye on your belongings, as nightlife areas can be busy, and be ready for lively, festive surroundings.
Tekilacılar Sokağı is within walking distance from Bodrum’s marina and castle. Narrow cobbled streets make walking the easiest and most scenic option, allowing visitors to soak in the old-town charm. Taxis are available for those coming from further parts of Bodrum, but cars and buses are less convenient because the streets are tight and often crowded in the evening.
Evenings are the prime time to visit, as bars come alive around 21:00 and stay open until 03:00–04:00. Fridays and Saturdays are busiest, while weekdays offer a slightly calmer experience. Arriving earlier allows you to enjoy the atmosphere and pick your preferred bars before the crowd arrives, while late-night visits immerse you directly into Bodrum’s party vibe.
