Hierapolis Touren und Tickets

Alles über Hierapolis

Was Sie erwartet

Hierapolis sits inside the Pamukkale UNESCO World Heritage area. Entry requires a ticket, which also covers the travertine terraces. The site includes major points such as the Antique Pool, the vast necropolis, the Frontinus Gate, the theatre and the Temple of Apollo. Plan at least 2–3 hours, more if you want to swim in the Antique Pool. The area is large, mostly open-air and continuously being restored.

Warum diese Tour buchen

Wear sturdy shoes — Hierapolis has long walking paths and uneven stones. The sun can be strong, so bring water, a hat and sunscreen. Swimming in the Antique Pool costs an extra fee and lockers/towels are available on-site. The travertines are strict: no shoes allowed, and surfaces can be slippery. Facilities like cafés and restrooms are available but spread out, so prepare before entering.

Die richtige Tour auswählen

From Denizli, you can reach Hierapolis by taxi, rental car or frequent minibuses (dolmuş) heading to Pamukkale. The entrance to Pamukkale gives direct access to the Hierapolis ruins. Minibuses depart regularly from Denizli Bus Station and take around 25–30 minutes. If you prefer convenience, many local agencies offer transfers or small-group tours.

Wissenswertes vor der Abreise

Early morning or late afternoon are the best times to avoid the midday heat and crowds. Morning offers cooler weather and quieter pathways, while sunset provides golden light over the theatre and travertines. Winter and spring bring comfortable temperatures and fewer visitors, though daylight hours are shorter.
