You’ll find changing rooms, sunbeds, umbrellas, and a casual lakeside restaurant offering drinks, snacks, and light meals. The facility is open seasonally from May to September, and entrance fees range from CHF 6 to CHF 14, depending on age and time of day. Kids under 6 enter for free. Lockers are available, and there’s a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere throughout the venue.

Lido di Lugano can get busy, especially on sunny weekends, so arrive early to claim a good spot. While the beach is sandy, the lake floor is pebbly—water shoes are recommended. Lifeguards are on duty during opening hours, making it safe for children and non-swimmers. Credit cards are accepted, but it’s wise to carry some cash for small purchases. You can bring your own towels and snacks, but glass bottles and large coolers may be restricted.

Reaching Lido di Lugano is quick and easy from the city center. If you're staying near Lugano railway station or the city’s main square (Piazza della Riforma), you can either take Bus Line 2 or enjoy a 15-minute scenic walk along the lakeside promenade. The entrance is located near the Convention Centre (Palazzo dei Congressi), just past Parco Ciani. Parking is limited, so public transport or walking is recommended during peak hours.
