Museos del Banco de la República

The museum complex features a diverse range of exhibits, from pre-Hispanic gold artifacts to contemporary art. Museo Botero showcases works by Fernando Botero, along with pieces by Picasso, Dalí, and Monet. MAMU focuses on modern and contemporary art, while the Biblioteca Luis Ángel Arango, also part of the complex, offers extensive cultural resources. Entry to most museums is free, making it an accessible experience for all visitors.

Most museums in the complex have free admission, but some temporary exhibitions may require a ticket. Photography is allowed in most areas, though flash is prohibited. Guided tours and audio guides are available in Spanish and English. The museums are wheelchair accessible, and there are cafés and gift shops on-site.

The museums are located in La Candelaria, Bogotá’s historic district. Visitors can take a taxi, bus, or use the TransMilenio rapid transit system, with Las Aguas and Museo del Oro being the nearest stations. Many attractions in the area are within walking distance.
