Kekova Island is uninhabited and protected as a Special Environmental Protection Area. Visitors are not allowed to walk on the island to preserve its archaeological treasures, but the underwater ruins can be viewed from boats or kayaks. Wear comfortable clothes and bring plenty of sunscreen, as you’ll be exposed to the sun most of the day. The waters around Kekova are calm and safe for swimming, but carrying a snorkel set enhances the experience. Respect the preservation rules: swimming over the sunken city and removing artifacts is strictly prohibited.
From Kas, Kekova is easily accessible via boat tours departing daily from the marina. You can choose between group tours or private charters. Alternatively, drive to Ücagız, a nearby village, and take a shorter boat trip from there.
