Wadi Darbat is about 30 km east of Salalah, and the drive takes around 40–45 minutes via Route 49 (Taqah Road). The road is well-paved, and a standard car is sufficient to reach the main area, but if you plan to explore off-road sections, a 4WD is recommended. You can rent a car, hire a taxi, or join a guided tour for a hassle-free experience.
The best time to visit is during the Khareef season (June to September) when the valley is lush, waterfalls are at their peak, and temperatures are cooler. However, October to March is also pleasant for sightseeing, with mild weather and fewer crowds. Avoid visiting in the peak afternoon heat and aim for morning or late afternoon for the most enjoyable experience.
