Day 1
Your adventure begins in Cairo, where you will meet your guide to start the tour. The journey takes you westward through the scenic desert landscape, with a stop for lunch in Mersa Matruh. Afterward, continue toward the enchanting Siwa Oasis, arriving in time to explore Shali, the ancient heart of Siwa. Known as the “old oasis,” Shali is a historic settlement built from kershef (salt and mud), offering a glimpse into traditional oasis life. After exploring Shali, you will be transferred to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 2
Start the day with a visit to Gebel Dakrur, where traditional houses are displayed as open-air museums, showing the unique construction methods used by the local Siwan community. Next, explore Cleopatra’s Bath in Aghurmi, a historic district built on the mountain. Each family had one or two rooms, with entrances closed daily for security. Nearby, the spring provides fresh water, and a small mosque serves as a spiritual center. Continue to Gebel El-Mawta (Mountain of the Dead), a cemetery perched atop the hill. Finish the day with a visit to Fatnas Bath and the nearby Salt Lake, a perfect spot for photography and enjoying the scenic sunset, before returning to your hotel for overnight stay.
Day 3
After breakfast, drive past the salt lakes to reach the famous Siwa Salt Lake, known for its striking blue waters and high salinity, which allows swimmers to float effortlessly. Visit Abu Sharouf (Arman Spring) for its therapeutic benefits for skin and eyes. Explore the Old Zaytouna Village, return for lunch, and enjoy the local handicrafts and products, including dates and olives. Conclude the day with a sunset visit to Fatnas Island, followed by dinner and an overnight stay at your hotel.
Day 4
After breakfast, depart Siwa and drive back to Cairo, bringing an end to your unforgettable desert oasis experience.
