7:00 am - 7:30 am: Pre-Trip Briefing and Preparation
The day begins with a comprehensive briefing at our riverside base camp, where you'll meet your experienced guides and fellow rafters. Over a warm cup of coffee or tea, our lead guide will explain the safety procedures, river conditions, and what to expect during the trip. You'll also be fitted with a properly sized life jacket, helmet, and paddle, ensuring a safe and comfortable journey.
7:30 am - 8:00 am: Transport to the Launch Site
We'll transport you to the launch site, located at the base of the Victoria Falls, where the Zambezi River begins its journey into the Batoka Gorge. The drive offers breathtaking views of the falls and the surrounding landscape, setting the tone for an exhilarating adventure.
8:00 am - 12:00 pm: Rafting the Zambezi River
As we push off from the shore, the tranquility of the river is short-lived, and the excitement begins. Our expert guides will navigate the raft through the turbulent waters, expertly maneuvering through rapids with names like "The Morning Glory" and "The Stairway to Heaven." The Zambezi River is renowned for its powerful currents, steep drops, and stunning scenery, making every moment an unforgettable experience.
As we make our way downstream, keep an eye out for the incredible wildlife that calls the Zambezi River home, including hippos, crocodiles, and over 100 species of birds. The scenery is equally impressive, with towering cliffs, lush vegetation, and crystal-clear water creating a sense of awe and wonder.
