Arvi Park and Piedras Blancas Park

Arví Park spans over 16,000 hectares and offers a range of outdoor activities, from hiking and biking to nature tours and picnics. The park is part of a larger protected area, and visitors can explore its diverse ecosystems, including cloud forests and wetlands. Piedras Blancas, on the other hand, is a smaller park that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys, along with its own network of walking paths. Both parks are accessible via the Metrocable system, making them easy to visit from Medellín.

When visiting both parks, bring comfortable walking shoes and plenty of water, as the trails can be quite rugged, and the altitude can be higher than the city. It’s advisable to wear layers, as temperatures can vary throughout the day. If you're planning to visit Piedras Blancas, be aware that the park is less developed and more peaceful, offering a quieter, more intimate experience compared to Arví Park. Both parks are ideal for nature walks, bird watching, and photography.

Arví Park is easily accessible from Medellín via the Metrocable Line L, which connects directly to the park's entrance. For Piedras Blancas Park, you can also take the Metrocable Line K to the La Sierra station, then transfer to a short hike or ride to the park. Both parks are well-connected and easy to reach from the Arví Park station, located in the northeastern outskirts of Medellín.
